The Buck Stops Here:
Chronic Wound Care from a Clinical and Payment Perspective
The Most Important Wound, Skin, Incontinence and Nutrition Care Meeting You will Attend in 2007!
2007
Chronic wound management is a billion-dollar industry in this country. Healthcare professionals, regardless of level of expertise or practice setting, must be able to provide quality, cost-effective care based on national standards of practice.
Increase your knowledge of current wound care information. Carolyn Cuttino, RN, BS, and Kathleen D. Schaum, MS, esteemed faculty, will offer an overview of evidence-based management, and adjunctive strategies for the chronic wound. Basic coding, coverage, and payment system information will also be discussed. This 1-day seminar will provide the clinical and financial basics to practice effectively in a variety of healthcare settings.
The afternoon sessions will offer the learner the opportunity to choose a clinical or reimbursement track. Ms. Cuttino will lead two workshops on pressure ulcers and lower extremity wounds. Ms. Schaum will hold fireside chats with participants to answer specific coding, coverage, and payment questions.
Bring your reimbursement issues to the table for one-on-one discussions with our reimbursement specialist or plan to participate in the clinical workshops and fine-tune your critical thinking surrounding prevention of pressure ulcers and management of difficult-to-heal wounds.
